November Workshop: Self-Zine: Manifestos of the Self

Workshop Description

This workshop will culminate in creating a zine that focuses on you. Through guided prompts, questionnaires, and other activities, you will be able to find out what is your personality type, what self-care techniques are beneficial, and other resources to take care of your self. 

Materials: Pen, paper, and any art materials you'd like to work with.

Rashmila Maiti

Rashmila Maiti holds a doctorate in Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Originally from India, she is an independent scholar who lives in Oregon. She has taught writing and literature to undergraduates for seven years. She is on the board of the Friends of the Multnomah County Library, a blogger for Feminist Book Club; and cohost of a podcast on books and reading, Reading Squad. When not writing about books or films, she volunteers as an editor and social media coordinator for various non-profit organizations.

Logistics:

  • This workshop runs from November 1, 2021 - November 30, 2021.
  • Workshops consist of one video per week for each week in the month. Videos are 30-60 minutes long.
  • Readings, creative prompts, and shared artwork will be exchanged on Podia in the designated section for each week. 
  • Discussions will be held on Podia and Discord.
  • All workshops are designed for you. Dedicate as much or as little time to the workshop per week as you'd like.
