In this open-form workshop, our work will dare to answer a midnight phone call, peer under the bed, and tiptoe down the basement stairs. We will confront what quickens the pulse: the dread of things seen and unseen, embodied and other, existential and apocalyptic. 

This genetitive workshop will be a meditation on the monstrous and the self. Where do we discover ourselves in a dark narrative? Are we the viewer, the victim, or are we holding the knife?

While our overarching workshop goals dwell in the discovery and examination of what frightens us, our time together will be rooted in safety, mutual respect, and the desire for constant learning. 

As a white queer femme person, I understand that it is my responsibility to challenge oppressive power structures. In the context of our work together, this means disrupting the hierarchy of facilitator/student through transparency, open communication, and accountability.
